COVID-19 Health & Safety Plan
Keeping Our Community Safe
The health and safety of our team and our customers is our number one priority. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to pose significant stresses and risks to people globally. In order to continue to support and make a difference in communities across Southwestern Ontario, we have updated our current business practices to ensure the safety of all parties. Ontario is in a provincewide shutdown and our updated COVID-19 Health and Safety plan currently abides to the current restrictions.
Limiting In-Person Interactions
Connecting with people in our local communities has been a primary facet of our business. To reduce the risk of transmission, we’ve made efforts to limit in-person interactions by shifting the majority of our communication and meetings to phone or Zoom calls. Although, some in-person meetings are necessary throughout this process. Our team will need to view and assess your home in order to give you a fair market value price. When the sale is made, we will require another in-person meeting to collect the keys and finalize details. See below for more information about the steps we’re taking to reduce the risk of transmission.
Planning Ahead
Planning ahead of in-person interactions is essential to keeping everyone safe. Following health orders and being aware of health and symptoms help to reduce the risk of transmission. To ensure a safe in-person interaction, both parties must follow the safety requirements listed below:
-
Review the current guidelines and restrictions from Ontario’s health authorities
-
Stay at home and away from others if you are feeling ill or have symptoms of COVID-19
-
Get tested if you are worried you have or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19
-
Plan in advance and prepare the personal protective equipment you will need for yourself when meeting in person (a mask or face shield, gloves, cleaning supplies, etc.)
Safe In-Person Interactions
Once you’ve had a phone call to discuss your property and a Zoom call to show our team your home, our team will reach out to you to schedule an in-person meeting to view your home. Although we love Zoom, we need to see your home in-person to be able to give you a fair market-value property evaluation. To ensure a safe in-person interaction, both parties must take the steps below to reduce the risk of transmission:
-
Wear a face covering at all times in indoor and outdoor public spaces
-
Can be non-medical masks or cloth masks
-
Your mask must be covering both your mouth and nose at all times
-
-
Both parties must maintain physical distancing of at least two meters
-
Do not attend the meeting if you are feeling unwell, have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or if you have recently returned to Canada within the last 14 days
-
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces as frequently as is necessary to maintain a sanitary environment
-
Ensure all lights are on and all doors (including closets) are open in areas our team may want to see
